Burin: A brief Introduction

Burin Culture Centre is a Martial arts school located in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, Japan.

Burin Culture Center offer Lessons in Yang Family Hidden Tradition Taijiquan as taught by Grandmaster Wang Yen'nien in Taipei and also Shaolin Kungfu directly transmitted to our main instructor from Songshan Shaolin Temple in Henan China. Our Head teacher, Mr Sugihara, has been training in both Taijiquan and Shaolin Kungfu for around 30 years and is licensed to teach both. He is also proficient and able to instruct in all shaolin weapons and weapons of other schools too.

The "Bu" of Burin is the same as in Bushido, the way of the samurai (in Mandarin Chinese pronounced Wu, as in Wushu). The "Lin" is the same as the lin in Shaolin, meaning forest.

There are various classes throughout the week, and it is also possible to take private lessons for a reasonable fee.

In addition to Martial Arts, we also offer language lessons (Chinese, Korean and English), tea (for purchase or to drink on the premises), tea utensils, and a wide range of martial arts weapons, also available online.

Most lessons are conducted in Japanese, but English or Chinese is also available. Please contact this sites owner for more information.
